Privacy Policy
Last updated: April 2026
Overview
BarcodeFree is a free, browser-based barcode generator. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect (very little) and how we use it.
No Personal Data Collected
We do not collect, store, or process any personal information. In particular:
- We do not require account registration or login.
- We do not ask for your name, email, or any contact details.
- We do not store barcode data you enter.
- We do not use advertising cookies or tracking pixels.
Barcode Generation is 100% In-Browser
All barcode generation happens entirely in your browser using JavaScript. The text or numbers you type into the barcode generator are never sent to our servers. Nothing you enter leaves your device.
Analytics
We use Vercel Analytics to understand general usage patterns. Vercel Analytics collects only anonymous page view data — it does not use cookies, does not track individual users across sessions, and does not collect personal information. No IP addresses or device fingerprints are stored.
Cookies
BarcodeFree does not set any cookies. Vercel Analytics operates without cookies.
Third-Party Services
The only third-party service we use is Vercel (our hosting provider and analytics). Vercel may process anonymous request metadata (such as country-level location derived from IP address) to provide its service. For details, see the Vercel Privacy Policy.
Changes to This Policy
If we make material changes to this Privacy Policy, we will update the date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
